Strongest attributes

I am determined and persistent. I am loyal and take my commitments very seriously. I have the ability to overcome obstacles and always try to find the win-win. I have the reputation in our local Realtor community as being a person that other Realtors want to work with. And I approach life and business in a friendly manner and try to incorporate humor to ease difficult situations.

Candidate’s definition of leadership

Leadership by example is my motto. I believe a good leader has the ability to inspire others not only with their words but with their actions. A leader must guide others, give clear directions and be able to problem-solve. True leaders must be willing to delegate, empower others and place a spotlight on the team, not the team leader. Having a personality that is warm and kind while also being strong is a key leadership quality as well.

Candidate’s vision

My vision for the Foundation is to continue to grow the grants program and to launch a successful Innovation Award this year. Another goal is to have at least one Haywood County candidate for the Humanitarian Award. On the MLS/ Association side, I think there is going to be much needed work to overcome the negativity associated with the lawsuits and to educate Realtors on how to share and express their value as the commission debate continues.
