Positions, committee service and other activities

I’ve been actively involved in several leadership roles within the real estate industry. I currently serve on the Board of Directors for AREAA and I am a proud 2024 graduate of the Canopy Leadership Academy.

I’ve also served on the Residential Advisory Committee (RAC) for Allen Tate, and last year I served on Canopy’s Housing Foundation Committee, and the Government Affairs Committee through REBIC, and YPN. These experiences have allowed me to contribute meaningfully to our industry while staying engaged in advocacy, education, and community impact.

I’ve participated in Canopy MLS sponsored community efforts such as Realtors® Care Day, Strides for Shelter, and the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina volunteer project. I’ve also been involved in local civic and nonprofit events including:

    •    Friends of Fourth Ward’s Secret Garden Tour and Holiday Home Tour
    •    Novant Health Thanksgiving Day Parade
    •    Miss Charlotte Meck Piedmont Pageant (Judge)
    •    Make-A-Wish Central & Western Carolina’s Wish Ball

Affiliation with other associations, professional organizations, civic or community activities and accomplishments

I’ve served in several leadership capacities outside of the real estate industry as well. I’m currently a mentor for students through the ACC Career Trek Program and the Panthers to Pros Mentor Program through the University of Pittsburgh. I’m passionate about guiding young professionals and helping them navigate their career paths.

Previously, I also taught a First Year Experience course to incoming freshmen while working at a university, which allowed me to support students during a pivotal time in their academic journey. These experiences have deepened my commitment to education, mentorship, and community engagement beyond the real estate world. I have secondary membership with the South Carolina Association of REALTORS®.

Strongest attributes

My strongest attributes are my leadership, strategic communication, and commitment to advocacy for our industry. I have a proven track record of successfully marketing high-end and unique properties, backed by strong negotiation skills and the ability to build consensus among diverse groups. My deep knowledge of the Charlotte market, combined with my community connections and experience meeting with lawmakers, allows me to represent our members’ interests effectively and help shape policies that strengthen our profession.

Candidate’s definition of leadership

Leadership is the ability to inspire and guide others toward a shared goal while fostering collaboration, trust, and accountability. It means listening actively, communicating clearly, and making decisions that balance the needs of the group with long term vision. True leadership is about serving others, advocating for their interests, and creating positive impact both within the organization and the wider community.

Candidate’s vision

My vision is to foster a strong, unified real estate community that champions professionalism, innovation, and advocacy. I want to help create opportunities for members to grow their businesses through education, collaboration, and strategic partnerships. By working together, I believe we can elevate the industry’s reputation, influence policies that support sustainable growth, and ensure that our local market remains vibrant and competitive for years to come.
