Welcome message from the Canopy Global Committee Chair Welcome to the Canopy REALTOR® Association Global Committee’s digital home! I’m Kristie Ferguson, CIPS, and it is my honor and privilege to serve as Chair of this dynamic committee. Our mission - simplified, is to connect, educate and empower real estate professionals in our region to thrive in the global marketplace. Whether you’re helping international clients relocate to our area, assisting investors with cross-border transactions, or simply curious about expanding your global footprint, you’ve come to the right place. As a committee, we are committed to fostering meaningful connections with our local and international partners, promoting global education opportunities such as the Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) designation, and elevating the global business conversation within our REALTOR® community. Our members bring a wealth of diverse experience and perspectives, and we’re excited to share those insights with you through events, educational programs, and collaborative initiatives. This year, we’re focused on building stronger bridges – between cultures, markets and professionals. The Global Committee works to enable and support Realtor® members who do business in the global real estate market. This committee is charged with developing programs and initiatives that increase Canopy Realtor® Association members awareness of global real estate opportunities – both inbound and outbound transactions– and fosters relationships with local, state, national and international organizations to provide a professional network that supports the international real estate marketplace. The Global Committee will gather information and resources for Canopy members and advise staff on networking events, education/training programs, strategic alliances and community engagement opportunities. All Canopy members are welcome to join the Global Committee. The committee expands opportunities for diverse members’ participation and fosters leadership within the Association. Members with experience in international real estate transactions (residential and/or commercial) and/or the Certified International Property Specialist designation are encouraged to participate.
Canopy’s Global Priorities
- Support Canopy Realtor® members who do business in the global real estate market.
- Develop programs and initiatives that increase Canopy Realtor® Association members awareness of global real estate opportunities – both inbound and outbound transactions.
- Fosters relationships with local, state, national and international organizations to provide a professional network that supports the international real estate marketplace.
- Gather information and resources for Canopy members.
- Plan networking events and education/training programs.
- Establish strategic alliances and participate in community engagement opportunities.
- Develop marketing strategies utilizing various communication channels to reach Canopy Realtors® and external groups.
